The Guardia Civil is the Spanish gendarme. It is a police force that has both military and civilian functions. It has foreign peace-keeping missions and maintains military status and is the equivalent of a federal paramilitary police. The Guardia Civil uses as its leading emblem the motto “El honor es mi divisa” (Honour is my emblem) stressing its esprit de corps and pointing out the importance of honour.

LaGuardia Airport
LaGuardia Airport is an airport located in Queens County on Long Island in the the City of New York. The airport is located on the waterfront of Flushing Bay, and borders the neighborhoods of Astoria, Jackson Heights and East Elmhurst. The airport was originally named Glenn H. Curtiss Airport after aviation pioneer Glenn Hammond Curtissthen renamed North Beach Airport then later named for Fiorello H. La Guardia, a former mayor of New York who built the airport.
LaGuardia is the smallest of the New York metropolitan area’s three primary commercial airports, the other two of which are John F. Kennedy International Airport in southern Queens and Newark Liberty International Airport in Newark, New Jersey

Fiorello Henry La Guardia, December 11, 1882 – September 20, 1947 was Mayor of New York for three terms from 1934 to 1945. He was popularly known as “the Little Flower. A Republican, he was a popular mayor and a strong supporter of the New Deal. La Guardia led New York’s recovery during the Great Depression and became a national figure, serving as President Roosevelt’s director of civilian defense during the run-up to the United States joining the Second World War
